Rediscovered on July 24, 1911 by Yale archaeologist Hiram Bingham, Machu Picchu (meaning 'Old Peak' in Quechua, the language spoken by the Incas) was thought to be a sanctuary for the preparation of priestesses and brides for the Inca nobility. The dramatic setting in a remote area of the Peruvian Andes enhances the shroud of mystery even more.

Salar de Uyuni

The big secret of South America is without doubt the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. It's the largest salt flat in the world, a staggering 4.025 square miles (10.500 square km.). The beautiful Fish Island (Isla Pescada) gives a wonderful contrast with the salt lake. The "salar" continues in the atacama desert, near the border of Chile, with geysers, the red and green lake, hot baths and a never ceasing tranquility.

In downtown Juneau, tourists can see a wall sculpture of Chief Kowee, head of the Auk Tlingits tribe. Exclusive Interview, Anthony Robinson, 6th Survivor - Voted Off

Anthony Robinson, the 6th castaway on Survivor: Fiji, "opens up his old scars" with BuddyTV as he shares his experiences on the mountainous island.

Anthony Robinson, a 32-year old native of Compton, California, took up American Studies at Yale University. Before becoming an Expert Witness Locator, he worked in public relations and sold computers. In addition, he also worked in a number of plays and comedy sketch clubs.

Robinson's inclusion on Survivor: Fiji became a device for him to satisfy his devotion and interest, being an avid fan of the popular reality show. He deems his participation on Survivor as a once in a lifetime experience, which deeply gratified him despite the complications and the challenges involved.

Although he already anticipated the hard challenges and the tough living conditions, what surprised him the most is the difficulty in dealing with hunger and dehydration, not to mention the intense heat. He explained that he has been through some harsh times in his life but describes his stint on Survivor as "easier said than done." To make things worst, he also had to face the extreme personalities of his tribe mates, which clashed most of the time.

Among others, his most detested participant is James "Rocky" Reid, who lashed him with verbal attacks during last night's tribal council. In fact, he maintains that he can simply root for anyone but firmly hopes that Rocky does not end up as the ultimate survivor.

As for the show's depiction of him, he considers it to be fair although he wished that it showcased more of his high and positive moments. He asserts that he had amiable relations with nearly everyone and that there were a lot of incidents where he really worked hard to come up with strategies and schemes for the benefit of his tribe.

The Sims 3 - Few Words About It

I read a blog and noticed that you do not choose what the gender of your Sim is attracted, but will be determined by someone or something in the environment. It 's like The Sims 2, so I flew right over them.

But, and this is a great, but now Sims is largely autonomous. So if anyone wants a straight community or someone else wants all the gay community who do not want to be able to choose?

We will have to choose to let the Sims, whatthey want for gender, and not find out about it until it is too late to change? I can just imagine someone running themselves ragged trying to make sure that every Sim of a certain age in the entire hood is having experiences with the gender they want the Sim attracted to.

I see a real need for a mod, here. I think people should be able to make gender attraction choices for themselves, and not have a game force a choice on the person that the game designers thought was the proper choice for everyone.

You will note I carefully avoided making any value judgments about gender preference, and I think this thread should probably stay neutral on that aspect. But don't you think that in an autonomous hood, we should have some genuine choice?
