My Tribe Game Review

My Tribe is all about the survival skills of a group of people stranded in an island after shipwrecked. On the beautiful tropical island, you guide the island-dwellers telling them what to do, miz and match some magical portion and sprinkle them onto the islanders.

With the reality TV show "Survival", also features on the surviving and adventure skills based on the basic human instinct and natural resources, more and more games are coming up with the same theme. One of the similar games that My Tribe has with other games is Virtual Villagers. Virtual Villagers also based on the villagers and how to keep growing the entire village, farming, and all. So if you are familiar with Virtual Villagers, you should be able to skip most of the intro that this game My Tribe has.

Plant some crops, harvest some food....catch some fish....assign and get some islanders to be in charge of some specific tasks. Build new homes to the islanders by getting wood and stone to build some huts. Use as much as you can the resources available. Same as Virtual Villagers, My Tribe also continues to work even when you have switch off your games. People continue to gather food, giving birth to children, harvest and all the activities.

One thing to take note is that the opposite may came true. People will grow old, and those that are too old may not be able to gather food or able to produce kids anymore. So the entire islanders may be wiped out and become a greatly deserted island...again! So come back to this game as often as you can to check out your tribe here.

The portion to sprinkle onto the islanders makes this game unique and different from the villagers. If you mix the portions correctly, the it serves its purpose to be helpful to the islanders. If not...well...the magical portion doesn't work.

Try out the free trial of My Tribe.

Wii Sports Resort by Nintendo Review

Wii Sports Resort by Nintendo is one of the best releases for this gaming console to date. If you liked the first version of Wii Sports, you will love this even more. This game is set on a tropical island, so the sports that you can play will be mostly beach and water sports.

In order to enhance your gaming experience, you now have the option of using the Wii Motion Plus accessory. This will allow you to immerse yourself even more in the game than if you were just using the Wii remote alone. For those of you who want to use this game as a form of exercise, the demand for more accurate body movements also allows you to get a better workout from the game.

Like its predecessor, this game is fun to play with family and friends. Challenge them to a water scooter race, or a sword play match, and find out who the ultimate sportsman or sportswoman is. My friends and I spend hour after hour challenging each other to tennis and boxing using the old Wii Sports program, and we are eagerly looking forward to what this new game has to offer.

The best thing about this game is that you need not be an expert on any sport to play them well in the virtual world. Just a correct swing of the remote and you could be a tennis or boxing champion. This game is fun for the young and old alike and is great for family events and parties with friends.

If you want a game that will allow you to have fun and get a good workout at the same time, then you'll love the game Wii Sports Resort by Nintendo.

Sunscreen Island Tribe Review

Island Tribe is the Serious Sun Protection. It's staggering to see how far we've come in society these days or the human race in general. I'm thinking 100 years ago, sitting on a beach and pulling out some suntan lotion to slap on, well simply unheard of and no need. Of course sun protection wasn't even thought of then, but neither was the gaping hole in the ozone layer! 100 years on now and we as a community of people aware of the detrimental effects the sun has on us today, are slapping sunscreen on like there's no tomorrow, it's quite the turn around.

Most of us know the dangers now of heading out unprotected to bask in the sun, whether we're swimming, camping, at a concert, festival, out shopping, surfing, sun bathing well you get the point. We know now, but we are bombarded with what is the best sun screen available or known to man, or value for money, or will not come off in water and on it goes. But yes, despite all these, it is an important aspect and part of our lives, especially if you have children.

I'm positive that most sunscreens do exactly what they say they do, and others do not. With everything, every product including sunscreens, there is a cheap version, cheaper than cheap version, or a really expensive version which incidentally does not guarantee to be the perfect version so to speak. It just means you've spent more money than usual and now you have to warrant the cost by assuming it truly is the best product or sunscreen in this instance.

And then there's Island Tribe Sunscreen. What exactly is this? O.k. I'll get straight to the facts about this sunscreen and see what separates Island Tribe from the rest. They have an array of different products but not too many where it's just going to confuse the consumer, but it's a very nifty simplistic and effective selection.

Island Tribe Sunblock is designed to provide maximum protection to everyone who uses the product, that's obviously the objective. But it targets also water sports enthusiasts or those who are constantly in the sun and water and so in actuality, millions of people around the world. Then comes the GEL product from the same manufacturer. One of its differentiating qualities is that it is highly impervious to water so when it's applied it really does last longer than conventional sunscreens.

My favourite Island Tribe item is SPF 35 Sun Lotion - 125ml, an anti-oxidant, water resistant lotion with maximum (all sunscreens have to be) UVA protection. But I love the Vitamin E enriched moisturizing non greasy lotion, it's just another sort of x- factor about Island Tribe. Then there's the Island tribe stick, handy, convenient, affordable and well I could just go on really but I would begin to sound sales pitchey...

Key factors about Island Tribe Sunscreen? It's heading out to the wider world now, consumers will have at their consumer finger tips wider awareness that these sunscreens are available to them and actually do work by the testimonials. The lotion is different, clear like gel that really does stay on longer and water proof? To the MAXIMUM!

Retro Game Review: After Pearl

AP is a World War II strategic-level simulation of naval war in the Pacific following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. It is joystick-controlled and played on a large, scrolling map of the Pacific which includes the major island bases from Hawaii to Indonesia. Ships of the opposing navies are represented by Red (Japanese) flags or Blue (US) flags and the occupation of island bases is represented by Red or Blue anchors.

Three scenarios are included, but two of them (Midway and Yamato) are introductory only and do not offer much play-value. The third, WW II, is a 40-turn campaign in which the objective is to accumulate 100 or more points than the opponent by the end of the game. This is accomplished by capturing and holding island bases. When faced with overwhelming Japanese numerical superiority in the beginning, this may seem like a truly hopeless task for the US player.

If however, he can evade a major engagement with the enemy long enough, reinforcements will begin to arrive and, if properly deployed, will turn the tide of war. Whether that happens soon enough is the hinge upon which the future of the Pacific swings. AP is strictly an air/naval confrontation. There are 113 ships in the game, representing the major US and Japanese aircraft carriers, battleships and cruisers of the war. Among these, the most important are the carriers.

They are essential. Without the aircraft that the carriers transport you cannot capture island bases and, without capturing island bases, you cannot gain enough points to win the war. Since the imperative here is to capture and hold as many bases as possible for as long as possible, the capriciousness with which the computer decides to allot carriers to you (the US player) can be the determining factor in the game. The Japanese build up such a huge lead in the beginning of the game, that if the US player hesitates too long (or receives too many battleships, instead of carriers, or has his planes waste themselves in attacking inappropriate targets) it may be nearly impossible for him too overcome that lead by the end of the game (even though by that time he may control nearly every base on the map except Japan itself, and may have destroyed the entire Japanese navy).

It is here that some gamers may find AP to be maddeningly restrictive. The computer makes all choices of reinforcement schedules and nearly all choices pertaining to target selection and the number of planes to commit to a particular action (even whether or not to attack). Virtually the only choices left for the player are what ships to bring together, when, and where.

For those gamers who like greater control over the actions of their pieces, AP will certainly prove to be too inflexible and with too few factors (such as weather, fuel, damage, troops, supplies, etc.) influencing the outcome of engagements. However, for those who are not dyed-in-the-wool war gamers and who simply enjoy strategic planning and maneuvering without a lot of detail, this game may prove to be a mental exercise in the power of position.
