The Calusa villages established near their source of life - water. There was enough land for the members to increase the height of the stalk of the plant needed to feed everyone, so that the Calusa looked to the bays, creeks, riversand golf, and a buffet of shrimp, crab, trout, snook and transformed almost all seafood.
Without worrying where the next meal would come, the Calusa were free, a complex society that have been created with amazing speed.
